gosh..it's been 3 months since Aron & Amanda are married! the pace was so fast to catch up! We are so caught up with work, adjusting to married life and preparing for our very 1st Christmas Party @ our own house that we are left with very little time for our close friends and family members. My new year resolution for 2008 will be spend more time with my close ones. I've even missed my good friend's baby shower...so sad and sorry about that! =(

really thank all the helpers who help us out in our wedding, esp to yvonne, angela, all the jiemei and brothers, the emcees, the worship team (you guys were great!) custer leader jeff lee, snr pastor philip tan and all those who have help out whom i have not mentioned their names.. you guys are great! you all made our garden wedding a possible, nevermind the shortcoming of seating and VIDEOS which never capture the solemnization moment.. hai.. its ok..

its beautiful wedding with all our families, relatives and our dear friends who graced our wedding much more beautiful!

almost 2am!

for almost 4 days, i have been sleeping around 2am or 3am, doing up the artwork for our wedding service booklet. And finally i have finished the artwork for our wedding service booklet, thou i believe at the end of the wedding my service booklet will be thrown away in trash bin but wat i did is the message from God, the worship songs are songs meant for our Abba. It will be sung with love during our wedding and salvation will be nearer for our relatives and friends.

2 more days to go..
im very sleepy and tired, having to be in charge of exhibition matters for our company participation in ongoing GovWare07 exhibition and preparing our wedding prep together is very very draining for me and having to wake up early for the exhibition and at night i will be preparing wedding matters, but in the end its worth all the suffering, such a small suffering is incomparable to the sacrifice our Lord did.

i shall reside in God strength and God strength will reside in me thru-out this week.

Thanks to all our lovely sisters and brother who attended our wedding rehearsal cum helpers gathering on 22 Sep. It was rather hot on that day but it was relax and enjoyable. Thanks to my future cousin to be crystal, the photographer, I am able to upload some photos....you'll see me snacking away..hehe...and my super nice wedding coordinator Yvonne briefing the helpers. All thanks to Yvonne's help, i' m able to relax for my wedding. =)

I am listening over and over again the song House Of Love by Amy Grant. I particularly like one of the line in the song 'Love with a firm foundation, Aint never, never, never gonna fall'.
Love can only be on a strong foundation if it is build on rock and not on sand. No matter how much argument we have, we just need to turn to the bible and read the verses and we can resolve our differences. Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ' Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.

Brothers/ husbands, just love your wife. Sisters/ wifes, just submit to your husband.

10 Days....

How timely can this be? Aron's company will be having an exhibition 3 days before our wedding and he has so many things to prepare before the company's 'big day' then what about OUR big day? Well, I must breath in, breath out and learn to be relax. Guest list, service booklet, collection of our wedding rings, facial, colour my hair, photo montage, Ang Bao box, both dads blazers' sizes....needs to be done within 10 day.....hmm....how we going to manage? I dont know, but who cares, wedding still have to go on..just look forward to my complimentary spa treatment on 28 Sep 07! Hey! I've got to Jia You!! \(^_^)/ God will make a way, when there seems to be no way!

Somehow, I am loosing control of the wedding planning cos there are so many ppl's feeling to take care of. From guest lists to colour theme to dress code...all these seems to steer further away from my 'dream' wedding....hai....I need to get real....

indeed its a wonderful day to give out invitation to all our friends and relatives..
now our worries is that will our guests whos attending our wedding will be enjoying themselves ornot?

funny thing is that snr pastor philip joke with me today when i pass him our wedding invitation and he reply that he will try to make it and i jokingly reply him that he has to come no matter what.. and the two of us broke out in laughter.. jolly man.

think each day we go back to our new place to "tidy up", we end up not being able to leave our new place happily as we missed our cosy new place which today, the two of us supposed to rest for awhile on our daybed sofa before we start our clean up and we end up sleep thru and totally forgotten about our clean up.

guess we really enjoy our afternoon nap over there and its a sunday afternoon nap we have both not being to enjoy for quite awhile and today we actually overslept on the sofa each taking up one side of the sofa comfortably.. heh..

hopefully we can get some photos up on our blog soon. kitchen is done, almost excluding some kitchen wares of course but we fix up the cooker exhaust hood together without any contractors help. amazing huh? of course its safe and i make sure it is as i fix up the holes and hook up everything while amanda help me out.

In case you wonder if this blog is dead, it is not. It is just that we are too tried to do any entry as there are so many things to do before the wedding. Every weekday when we have no other matters, we will rush to our new nest from work, and try to tidy the place. Gosh, Y did we ever though of buying such big house in the first place. Haha....anyway we still love our house, although it is still not that ideal because we can only do that much with our limited funds. Nonetheless, we simply love the cosy & relax feel of the house. Afterall, we took pains to choose every piece of furniture. Hmm....it will be best if someone can buy some crabtree & evelyn stuff for our new home (*hint, hint) =P to add to the resort feel.

We just went to our bridal studio yesterday to see our wedding shots photos and phew....not every photo is very nice or it will blow our budget! Anyway, we did have a good time wakeboard for our photoshots and the photographer managed to capture the 2 of us riding on waves at the same time! Well, if you want to see the photos then you'll have to wait a while till it is touch up. I do have one photo which i took secretly with my handphone when the bridal studio lady was not looking. hehe...here goes..

Suppose to meet our wedding venue coordinator at 11am to discuss about our wedding reception details, but end up she was 1 hour late! So, me & aron steal some time to have a drink at Aramsa Spa. This is our 3rd time there and we simply love the place. Do take a look at the photos which I took. More excitement coming up as we are allowed to take our wedding photo shots at the spa place! This Thur will be our pre-wedding photo shots, so pray hard for fair weather!

we took off the window grill at the balcony, i'm sure my parents will have comments when they see this! But we really love the unblock view! It'll be a pity to cage ourself up with the grill. Well, this is far from our idea of the windmill invitation cards, but this sure save us a LOT of time! I've managed to get my wedding shoes without much searching. Really must compliment Berlinda (www.loeandbehold.com) for her excellent service and pretty shoes. Gosh..she has converted her house living room to a shoes showroom. Most importantly, the price is cheaper then what I've budgeted, what a blessing! Another baby step to Aron & my wedding. =)

Starting to Fall in Place...

Gosh..we have been so so so busy for the past few weeks preparing our home and wedding. After these few weeks, at least we can see the vision of our future home clearer and clearer...i think all the hard work is really worthwhile. Singapore govt is raising the Good and Service Tax island wide.

everyone is rushing for the last ditch to purchase appliances, and signing up wedding packages, travel packages, etc before the 7% GST starts at 1st of july.. hai...

we, too were affected. we went around like ants on a hot pan. visiting electrical shops after shops, furniture shop after another one. like we did today, we went all the way to a way-off industrial area to visit some furniture shops, but end up visiting some really bad shops but we settle down on a teak wood furniture shop. at least it cut down our initial furniture cost down to half of wat we projected.

we really love those teak wood furnitures that we are turning our new place a resort style!!
hahaha...

also at the end of the day before we both go to our bible studies, we finally settle down and brought our wedding band with sookee jewelery. beautiful one of the kind as well.. cos my wed band has bling bling on it as well same with the female band but of men's size ring.. ROFL

4 months and 7 days to go...time is really running out and we still have to prepare our nest @ Serangoon, decide on which brand of electrical appliances, select my dream wedding gown, our honeymoon and confirm entertainer for our reception. Gosh...so many things to do within such short time! In case you wonder why did't we start our preparation earlier..yes I can read your thoughts...well, sigh...we started early but you know...some how other things in life catch up with us..work, my sister's wedding...etc. anyway to cut long story short, do look out for more blogs on our wedding preparation journal...heh. =)
